A bit about me...

I started in 1989 at Tippett Studio, fabricating miniatures and learning about cameras, lights & stage-work. Over the years we took the place digital, which meant learning all about computer graphics: how to shoot for CG, film scanning and digital color, building CG characters, and generally making a digital studio functional.

I spent a couple of years at PDI(now Dreamworks Animation) as a senior artist in their vfx group, sometimes chipping in on their first CG feature. Then it was off to New Zealand to build up Weta’s animation, motion capture, crowd and character rigging departments for the “Lord of the Rings” films.

I’m now at MPC in London, serving as the company’s Animation Director. At MPC I have enjoyed wearing different hats; visual effects supervisor, animation supervisor, production designer, department head.

In the last few years, working in pre-production and developing projects;  on production design, script and character design, is a satisfying new direction.
